About four years ago, I lost one of the closest women in my life to cancer, my favorite and dearest Aunt. There is no day that goes by that I don’t wish she was still her with me. But one thing that I use to console myself with are the lessons she taught me along the way. Two particular lessons that I learned from her were “never worry about anything because whatever will be will be” and “never stop dreaming big no matter what”. In honor of her and all the women, men, children and families who have been affected by cancer, I wear pink and stand with you this Breast Cancer Awareness month to fight and dream of a world free of this horrific disease, I continue to pray and hope for a world where sadness ceases and utter joy for all prevails.
